~A Little community making BIG dreams come true!~

    ATTENTION FAMILIES:

    As our weather is unpredictable,

please see our local news stations for updates and stay safe!

This month we celebrate Mike Carney, our Superhero!

Mr. Carney not only maintains our building and grounds, but supports student learning and coaches our Thursday basketball sessions.  He is seen here as Captain Chemo, our Superhero kicking off our Pennies For Patients Fundraiser.  Our superheros are coming together to fight cancer!

Thanks to Dr. Cornetta and Jen Briggs for coming to our school during February Dental Month to teach our Kindergarten students about good oral health!

Our friends Paws and Sox joined us to kick-off our new Mentoring Program.  Thanks to the Paw Sox and the RI Mentoring Partnership for helping us to realize this opportunity!

Principal's Letter

We are excited about the many learning opportunities

within our community, including:

Common Sense Parenting classes on Wednesday mornings from 8:30 to 10:30 AM                                     For information or to sign up, please call 401-214-4967

We are working so hard within our classrooms, with our student scientists learning about our local water sources with the Narragansett Bay Commission, our playwrights honing their craft through their work with the Sandra Feinstein-Gamm Theatre, and our collaborative work with other artists at the JMW School for the Performing & Visual Arts.  We still have Superkids as our friends, are exploring number bonds and a variety of reading genres, and learning about Being a Writer!

In addition to violin and viola lessons provided by the RI Philharmonics, our COZ program now includes dance lessons taught by members of the Festival Ballet, Cub Scout Troop 33 (named in honor of our friends at the Amvets Post 33), and a wide variety of new and exciting opportunities.

Remember that it important for your child's success that they are:

In school,

On-time,

Everyday,

Ready to learn!

Our School Day is from 8:30 until 2:40

Please remember that all Drop-offs and Pick-ups are in the back of the school and, for the safety of our children, to follow the traffic pattern and parking procedures and that dogs are not allowed on the school grounds.  Thank you!
